The
Halifax
Club
was
established
in
1862
to
provide
a
friendly,
professional
and
private
retreat
for
the
exclusive
pleasure
of
members
and
their
guests.
The
Club
thrives
in
its
tradition
to
serve
as
an
important
meeting
place
for
business-minded
men
and
women.
It
is
a
place
where
they
can
meet,
toast
the
day's
successes,
dine
or
simply
relax
in
a
warm
atmosphere
of
history
and
tradition.
Officers
and
Committees
Management
Committee
-
the
committee
consists
of
twelve
members
in
addition
to
members
of
the
Executive
Committee,
which
consists
of
a
President,
Past
President,
Vice-President
and
Treasurer.
Five
members
of
the
committee
shall
annually
retire
by
rotation,
and
the
vacancies
so
created
shall
be
filled
at
the
Annual
Meeting
of
the
Club.
Members
of
the
Executive
Committee
are
elected
each
year
by
the
members.
By-laws
and
Regulations
Each
member
receives
a
copy
of
the
Constitution
and
Regulations
upon
election
to
the
Club.

Annual
General
Meeting
The
Annual
General
Meeting
of
Members
is
held
each
year
during
the
month
of
November
on
a
date
determined
by
the
Committee.
Notice
in
writing
is
sent
to
each
member
at
least
14
days
prior
to
this
date.
The
Club's
fiscal
year
runs
from
October
1
to
September
30
the
following
year.
